Beginning in 2007, the Central Asian Survey was reorganized under the new editorship of Dr. Deniz Kandiyoti. Through an agreement between the editors, the Central Eurasian Studies Society, and the publisher, Taylor & Francis, all members are now entitled to subscribe at the rate of $40 per year.
We view this as an important step toward CESS's key goal of supporting publication of peer-reviewed work, and thus raising the standards of scholarship in our field. We encourage our members to submit their well-polished articles to Central Asian Survey, and we will be actively pursuing ways to further CESS's goals to promote the strengthening scholarship on Central Eurasia through this publication. In particular, we will work to facilitate the publication of strong work of scholars in the Central Eurasian region itself in the pages of the journal. Also, the recipient of the CESS annual Award for Best Graduate Student Paper will be offered the opportunity for publication of the award-winning paper in Central Asian Survey.
You may now subscribe to Central Asian Survey at the reduced rate by completing this linked form available through .pdf (84K).
CESS is now represented on Central Asian Survey with three members of the Editorial Board and two members of the International Advisory Board (many other members of these boards are CESS members as well, but these individuals specifically represent CESS and the interests of our members in the journal's editorial process):
